Understanding Your Dashboard Metrics

Starting Capital, Capital Deployed, Realized Profit and In-Progress Profit — what each number means and how it's calculated.

The 4 performance cards

1. Starting Capital

The total capital you put into MCA investing on your first investment date. Example: you invested $900,000 across 4 wallets in July 2024 — your Starting Capital is $900,000.

Why it matters: it's your baseline. Everything else is measured against it.

2. Capital Deployed

How much total money you lent out across all MCA deals during the selected period. Example: you deployed $3.7M in deals from July 2024 to September 2026 — money lent to merchants through MCA syndicates.

Why it matters: it shows your investment activity. Higher means more aggressive deploying; lower means holding cash.

3. Realized Profit ✅

Actual money that came back to you from deals that were 100% paid off. This is the most important number. Example: 1,912 deals fully paid back, and you kept $2,525,872.44 in profit.

  • This is REAL cash in your account
  • Not projected, not estimated — actual
  • Only counts deals that paid 100%
  • Excludes deals that defaulted
How it's calculated: for each deal where Percentage Paid = 100%, Realized Profit = (amount returned) − (amount deployed). Sum every such deal for the total.

4. In-Progress Profit ⏳

Projected profit from deals still being collected. Example: 1,219 deals are still active, and you're projected to make $1,542,437.32 more once they pay off.

  • Shows your pipeline
  • Helps forecast future cash
  • NOT in your account yet (still being collected)
  • May be lower if some deals default
Important: this is a projection, not a guarantee. Some in-progress deals may default and contribute $0.

Deal status colors

  • 🔵 Paid Off (Blue) — deal completed, 100% of capital returned, profit realized, done
  • 🟢 Healthy (Green) — deal active and on schedule, payments coming in regularly, expected to pay off
  • 🟠 At Risk (Orange) — payments lowered or delayed temporarily, still expected to complete, monitoring closely
  • 🔴 Defaulted (Red) — deal failed, capital lost, no more payments expected

Monthly breakdown

  • Starting Balance — money in wallet at month start
  • Ending Balance — money in wallet at month end
  • Capital Deployed — money lent that month
  • RTR Collected — profit/capital returned that month
  • Net Change — starting → ending, showing whether the wallet grew or shrank

  • 1,219 deals still paying → projected $1,542,437 ⏳
  • 725 deals defaulted → lost money ❌
  • 10 deals at risk → monitoring
