A useful MCA investor statement shows, for one month: opening balance, capital deployed into new deals, gross collections, fees deducted, net collections, withdrawals, and closing balance — plus deal counts for funded, paid off, defaulted and still open. Those figures must tie out: opening + net collections − deployed − withdrawals = closing.
The cash section
- Opening balance, fixed on the first of the month.
- Capital deployed into deals funded during the month.
- Gross collections, fees, and net collections shown separately.
- Withdrawals taken out of the wallet.
- Closing balance, matching the funder's own figure.
The deal section
- Deals funded in the month, with amount and factor rate.
- Deals paid off, with realized profit.
- Deals in default or collections, with amount still outstanding.
- Deals still open and paying, with percentage paid to date.
Why reconciliation matters
If the closing balance does not match the funder's figure, something is unrecorded: a fee taken at deal level, a funding posted late, or a payment applied to a different month. Catching it the same month is far easier than reconstructing it a year later.
